I started to paint this trying to bring in your attention my admiration for these little birds. I used different mediums and techniques to make it – ink, acrylic, pastel, modeling paste. Also, I put a lot of feelings into making it because these little birds mean so much to me.
Living in Florida is not just about palms, beaches, sun and ocean, it is more about what all of them give you in terms of sensations, emotions and feelings. In my opinion, a Red Cardinal means so much more than just to put a smile on your face because of its beauty. Cardinals are messengers delivering messages of Hope, Passion, Love, Personal Strength, and Endurance. 
Also, the belief that cardinals bring spiritual messages has existed for a very long time now in several cultures and societies, and even in our modern world the belief continues to survive. To other people, spotting a cheerful red cardinal means that their family member or friend is safe and happy, even if they are far away. 
So… even if cardinals offer you just a simply bright spot of color, my message is to keep in mind that they are a symbol of hope and joy and they represents power, good luck and good energy.
